Raj Sharma


His career kick started with Godrej, followed by Océ- a Dutch photocopying company where his involvement was in various stages of product launch till setting -up the distribution of the sales network. After that he served a brief stint in Marketing Communications team of Tata Nelco. Post that he joined an IT/ITES company in 1997, where he spearheaded International Business Development and Customer Management functions. In 1998, the Research Business was carved out and recapitalized a new entity- Majestic MRSS, which is now the vehicle of operation that Raj and Sandeep are at the helm of.

Raj comes with rich global exposure. He has worked extensively with the US clients from the east to the west coast. His strong understanding of the APAC region comes from his stints in Australia and Thailand, whereas his stint in London helps him in market understanding for the Europe region.

Raj associated with various associations such as ESOMAR, AEMRI, MSPA, WAPOR, AIAI, FICCI, CII, AQR etc. Raj is also the International Features Editor for QRCA VIEWS, a publication of QRCA (Qualitative Research Consultants Association), a not-for-profit association that promotes excellence in all aspects of qualitative research. He also currently is on the Management Committee of MRSI ( Market Research Society of India).

Raj's has done Bachelors of Engineering with specialization in Electronics and Telecommunications and Master of Management Studies (MMS) in Marketing, from University of Mumbai.


Sarang Panchal

(Managing Director)

Academically Sarang Panchal completed his Master’s degree in Management studies from one of the premier management institute of India- Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management studies (JBIMS) prior to which he had pursued a degree in commerce from Sydenham College.

Sarang Panchal has nearly three two decades of Market Research experience. He started his career with Procter & Gamble and then moved on to the researcher’s side with a boutique firm called MRAS, Research Manager. Subsequently, he assumed partnership at MRAS Burke between 1987- 1989, from where he joined Dun & Bradstreet as Executive Director in 1995. He spent two years in Dun & Bradstreet. Sarang then joined AC Nielsen in 1997 as Executive Director, where his profile included Simulated Test Marketing/ Forecasting, Brand / Advertising tracking, Syndicated Research, Customer satisfaction, Multi-country / International and Qualitative research. After being an Executive Director for over a decade, he then was appointed Managing Director of The Nielsen Company, Asia Pacific for the customized division where he managed 17 countries.

He is now an investor and the Managing Director of MRSS India, a largest digital Market Research Agency in India. It is India's 1st and only listed Market Research Company. The company is arguably India’s leading digital market research firm, where his key task is to leverage ahead of the curve technology and embellish the quality of research the company delivers to clients in India.


Sandeep Bhatia

(Executive Director)

Sandeep is currently responsible for business development and marketing activities for Majestic. He serves as Director Business Development. He has 3 years of experience with a Fortune 500 company in the US, offering broadband services, as an Associate Vice President, Business Development. During his 8 year association with Majestic, he has spent two years in the United States and two years in the United Kingdom. Aside from relationships with several FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies, Sandeep has close relationships with some of the largest Market research firms in world including various arms of the WPP group, the VNU group and the Omnicom Group.

Sandeep has studied at Duke Law School from where he received his Juris Doctor (JD) and UCLA from where he obtained a BA in Economics.


Mr. Rajesh Kumar

(Head of Public Sector Practise)

Rajesh has a Market Research career spanning 36 years, spent in reputed organizations like L&T, Voltas & Tata Motors. Joined Tata Motors in 1986 and was responsible for setting up Market Research Department from scratch. He has conducted surveys on Need-based segmentation of SUV & MUV markets, and on forecasting relative shares of cars operating on different fuels for different fuel prices.


Mr. Chandramouli Guin

Chandramouli Guin has 20 years of rich experience in market research & business advisory services across industry, trade & development sectors in India for leading private enterprises, government and international funding agencies. Dr. Manish Ganvir

(Vice President - Insight sciences.)

Dr. Manish has 13 years of rich experience in areas of market research and consumer insights. His experience spans both qualitative and quantitative researches in sectors such as Auto, FMCG, Insurance, Media, OTC and Pharma. He has expertise in marketing / advertising campaigns, NPD, media buying and activation. He also has training in sensory evaluation and has managed evaluation and expert sensory panels.


Satish Belani

(Measurement Science Guru)

Satish has over 25 years of work experience in Market Research Analytics, multivariate & Conjoint analysis.

He was the Director Operations, South Asia at Nielsen and responsible for all Data analysis delivery, training, recruitment and helping client service in project design and management.

He is a IBM certified SPSS Modeler (A Data Mining Software) Professional.
A member on MRSI panel to develop new SEC system.

In Nielsen he won Global Excellence Award for Pricing Research on Reverse BPTO (Brand Price Trade Off).

Satish has a degree in M. Phil & specialization in Laser Physics from Mumbai University and research at BARC.

He has also completed a certificate course in Data Analysis for Marketing Decisions from IIM (A).


Meghna Mathur

(Project Director)

Meghna has over 12 years of work experience in IT, Media research and Planning.

Her expertise spans across IT Programming and consulting, Media research and campaign planning.

She has worked extensively on TV measurement system, indepth quantitative analysis of TV viewing habits and competition.

She has also been involved with the holistic campaign planning across print, TV, digital and radio for Telecom, FMCG and Media clients.

Meghna is a Computer Science Engineer and a post graduate in Media Management from MICA.


Gaurav Joshi

(Associate Project Director)

Gaurav has over 4 years of rich experience in market research and 7 years experience in BPO industry.

He brings to table excellent vendor management and client servicing expertise.

In his current capacity at MRSS India, he spearheads new business development activity at a pan-India level .

His market research experience spans across companies like RSMRS and Millward Brown; while his experience within BPO industry cuts across RT Outsourcing, IBM Daksh & Patni.


Yatin Bhingarde

Yatin has over 12 years of work experience in Consumer and B2B market research. His expertise lies in research related to Brand health measurement, Stakeholder management, Concept test and Business Intelligence. He has worked across a wide range of industry verticals such as Telecom, Auto & Auto ancillary, Agricultural, Real estate, Manufacturing , Infrastructure etc. Prior to joining MRSS India, he has worked with TNS India, Market Probe and Nielsen India. Yatin is Science graduate and holds a degree in Management from Mumbai University.


Iftekhar Shaikh

Ranjana Vadher

Anjali Rastogi

Anjali has 20+ years of work experience in the field of Market & Social research. Having an astute understanding of qualitative, quantitative and secondary research she is able to develop and apply the appropriate design to a client’s problem. Anjali had started her career in IMRB as a Senior Research Executive in 1992 post acquiring her MBE degree from the Delhi University. Over the years she has consulted for nearly all leading market research firms in India. Her diverse portfolio extends across sectors such as Social- Health, Education and Sanitation, Finance – banking and insurance, Retail, IT sphere, FMCG, Pharma, Lifestyle, Media and entertainment.


Alexio Fernandes

(Analysis Manager)

Alexio comes with over two decades of Market Research- Data Processing& Analysis experience. He has handled various roles in terms of Team leading, Mentoring, Technical Consultant and Training on Software like SPSS, Quantum and SPSS Dimension.

He started his career in 1990 with MRAS/BURKE (an affiliate of Burke Research World Wide) and after working for 5 years he moved to AMER in 1995 in Cairo, Egypt. In 2001, he joined IMRB International and subsequently worked in ACNielsen-ORGMARG and Research International.

He has extensive experience in handling variety of MR projects such as BPTO, Micro Test, Brand Dynamics and Multi-variate Analysis.


Dr. Srikant Patel

(Head – Social Research Practice)

Dr. Srikant has over 20 years of work experience in Social Research. He started his career with Free University of Berlin as a Senior Research Associate. Subsequently he joined Nielsen and IMRB-International. Prior to joining MRSS India, he was heading the National Statistics Division of IMRB-International.
His range of experience includes servicing key clients like the World Bank, UN agencies, INGOs, Bills and Melinda Gates Foundation, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Rural Development, DFID, International Centre for Research on Women, University of North Carolina, Plan India, Centre for Good Governance, Office of the Registered General of India, IPE Global, Cairns Energy India Ltd., etc. His key expertise includes conceptualization, developing research design, formulating methodologies, planning and project management. He has worked extensively on maternal health and family planning, nutritional status of children, poverty and livelihood, gender and empowerment, education and HIV AIDS.
Dr. Srikant holds a Ph.D. degree in Anthropology from Sambalpur University. He has a number of publications in both international and national journals.




Mr. R Kumar an MBA and BE, has over 2 decades of experience in Market Research, KPO operations.
Prior to MRSS, had stints with GfK Mode, Aon Hewitt Associates, TNS , A C Nielsen ORG – MARG .

Madhumita Chattopadhyay

(Vice President)

Madhumita Chattopadhyay has about 25 years of experience in the areas of Brand Management, Business strategy and Marketing Research.
She was associated with ABP Pvt Ltd, one of the largest Indian media conglomerates, for about 14 years. She was the Vice President, in charge of one of the strategic business units and was also the Editor of the most popular women’s lifestyle magazine in West Bengal, Sananda. As an expert in Marketing Research, she was consulted in all Market Research activities across the organisation.
Prior to ABP Pvt Ltd, she worked in Market Research agencies like IMRB International and TNS Mode. An expert in both Quantitative and Qualitative Research, her experience spanned across sectors – consumer durables, non-durables, services, media and advertising.
She was a member in the Technical Committee of National Readership Survey (NRS).
She has been a regular faculty member of Brand and Media Management in Calcutta Management Institute in Kolkata.

Sreyoshi Maitra is a seasoned consumer insights professional with 15 years in the business of diagnosing consumer behaviour. She comes with a rich and diverse experience in market research techniques having worked across market research agencies. In her last assignment she was leading the Shopper Practice for South Asia at Nielsen.
She is an expert in multiple research domains that cover the entire spectrum of a brand's life cycle- eg. consumer segmentation, innovation, brand equity, shopper insights, retail effectiveness and has worked very closely with well known brands and partnered in their marketing and business strategy plans. With sharp analytical skills she has been successful in integrating multiple information sources into comprehensive actionable insights for marketers.
She has also participated as a speaker at Industry forums sharing various consumer insight learnings.
